Tuesday morning I took the bus to downtown Aguascalientes and walked around a bit.  The big park in the center, Plaza Patria, contained many employees of the sanitation department.  There were also a smaller number representing the "Department of Parks and Gardens."  There were a number of vehicles also in the Plaza Patria, which is normally reserved for pedestrian traffic.
   In Mexico, it seems to me that public events and parades and ceremonies and those  sorts of thing take place more frequently than in the United States.  Almost any excuse can and does serve as a basis for having a celebration or party.  I soon found that the reason for all the activity in the Plaza Patria was that the city had arranged all of this for the formal dedication of some new garbage trucks (and two John Deere garden tracrors).
   In the afternoon, Ricky (Jimmy's youngest son) helped me by applying some clear epoxy to seal some cracks that had appeared on the outside of the motorhome.  Jimmy was in the hospital on Tuesday, having the type of surgery that is frequently necessary for men of our age.  In the afternoon, I was outside resting in the RV.  Without my knowledge, Martha went to the hospital to be with Jimmy when he came out of surgery and then Ricky was called away to attend to another matter.  That is when Martha's brother, Gerardo, arrived at the house with their mother.  But there was no one at home and the house was locked up!  And nobody knew what was happening because cell phones are not permitted in the hospital.  So, while the three of us waited to find out what was happening, we all sat in the motorhome and watched The Simpsons and a Mexican "funniest videos" program called "Ay, Caramba!"
  Later, Ricky anf his wife Miriam took Gerardo and me to the hospital, but we could not enter because the hours of visitation are from 4 to 6.  However, we spoke to Martha and found out that Jimmy came out of the operation in good condition.  Also, they used a laser, so there won't be any large incision to cause discomfort while it heals.

Martes por la mañana tomé el autobús a centro de Aguascalientes y se acercó un poco. El gran parque en el centro, Plaza Patria, contenía muchos empleados del departamento de sanidad. También hubo un número más pequeño que representa el "Departamento de Parques y Jardines". Había un gran número de vehículos también en la Plaza Patria, que normalmente está reservado para el tráfico peatonal.
   En México, me parece que los actos públicos y desfiles y ceremonias y ese tipo de cosas tienen ocurren con más frecuencia que en los Estados Unidos. Casi cualquier excusa puede y debe servir como base para una celebración o fiesta. Entre poco discubri que la razón de toda la actividad en la Plaza Patria fue que la ciudad había organizado todo esto para la entrega formal de algunos camiones de basura nuevos (y dos John Deere tractors  de jardín).
   Por la tarde, Ricky (hijo menor de Jimmy) me ayudó a aplicar algunas epoxi transparente para sellar algunas grietas que habían aparecido en el exterior de la casa rodante. Jimmy estaba en el hospital el martes, con el tipo de cirugía que suele ser necesario entre los hombres de nuestro edad. Por la tarde, yo estaba fuera descansando en la casa rodante. Sin mi conocimiento, Marta se dirigió al hospital para estar con Jimmy cuando salió de la cirugía y luego Ricky fue llamado para atender a otra cosa. Es entonces cuando el hermano de Marta, Gerardo, llegó a la casa con su madre. Pero no había nadie en casa y la casa estaba cerrada! Y nadie sabía lo que estaba pasando porque los teléfonos celulares no están permitidos en el hospital. Así, mientras que los tres nos esperó para averiguar lo que estaba pasando, nos sentamos todos en la casa rodante y observó Los Simpsons y un mexicano "funniest videos" programa llamada  "Ay, Caramba!"
  Más tarde, Ricky y su esposa Miriam llevó a Gerardo y me llevaron al hospital, pero no pudimos entrar porque las horas de visita son de 4 a 6. Sin embargo, hablamos con Marta y nos enteramos de que Jimmy salió de la operación en buenas condiciones. Además, se utiliza un láser, por lo que no habrá ninguna incisión grande para causar molestias mientras se recupera.
