OK, creo que tengo el billete de autobús embrollo. Mientras esperaba esta mañana, el conductor pasó por la misma parada donde estaba. Estoy familiarizado con él de las paradas anteriores en Zacatecas. Explicó que, dependiendo del signo de la ventana, me podrían cobrar once o trece pesos de Zacatecas a mi parada al lado de la gasolinera. Y me confirmó mi sospecha de que el mañana me cobraron sólo 6 1/2 pesos, el chofer me había dado descuento de los viejos. Estuvimos de acuerdo en que cada peso adicional ayuda a salir y que el precio actual de los periódicos era lamentable. Luego sugirió que pedir el descuento cada vez que suben al autobús y me enseñó qué decir para que me suena como que es algo rutinario para mí que pagar la mitad de precio. Se supone que tienen algún tipo de credencial del gobierno, pero me imagino que el sonido más confiI, la persona menos probable que piden mi documentación

Así que cuando llegó el autobús, los dos nos siguen y le entregué al conductor 6 1/2 pesos y le dijo "mi amigo me ha enseñado a decir" El Medio Zacatecas, please "(a mitad de precio a Zacatecas, por favor)

OK, I think I have the bus fare straightened out.  While I was waiting this morning, the conductor happened by to the same bus stop where I was. His job is  to ride the bus randomly from stop to stop and punch holes in the tickets.  I am acquainted with him from previous stops in Zacatecas.  He explained that, depending on the sign in the window, I might be charged eleven or thirteen pesos from Zacatecas to my stop next to the gas station.  And he confirmed my suspicion that the morning I was charged only 6 1/2 pesos, the bus driver had given me the old folks' discount.  We agreed that every extra peso helps out and that the current price of newspapers was lamentable.  He then suggested that I ask for the discount each time I board the bus and taught me just what to say so that I sound like it is a routine thing for me to pay half-price.  You are supposed to have some sort of government credential, but I figure that the more confiI sound, the less  likely anyone will ask for my documentation

So when the bus came, we both go on and I handed the driver 6 1/2 pesos and told him "my friend here has taught me to say 'el medio Zacatecas, por favor'"  (half-price to Zacatecas, please)
