It turns out that I am going to have to restrict my use of the internet.  I have entered into a contract that allows me internet access via the "Movistar" cell phone system.  It is 3G service.  Until today, I had no idea what 3G meant.  I thought it probably had something to do with the strength of the signal or the speed of it or something.  But it turns out that I am linited to "3G of data" or one month, whichever comes first.  And, not knowing this, I have already used 2.4G !   Because I have been listening to the Detroit radio station and also I have probably left the computer connected to the internet while not using it.   But the good part is that, on Saturday, they are going to replenish my G's, so I will be starting over again.
    Anyhow, I forgot to mention that yesterday, while I was talking to the "Bean Coyote," I was telling him that a lot of people in the United States think that Mexico is super dangerous because they hear all the stories about the drug cartels and so forth.  But I have not found it to be dangerous at all.  And he was saying that the Mexican people are very friendly and agreeable.  And he said that the Mexicans really like old people.  He said they have a lot of respect for the elderly.  I thought that was a peculiar thing for him to say, and that it was unusual that he'd repeated it....Suddenly, I realized that I must be one of the "old folks" he was talking about!
    I've paid my rent through Friday here at the campground.  So pretty soon I will have to decide where to go next.  I may go south to Guadalajara and then west to the Pacific coast.  The other option I am considering is to go to Guanajuato for a couple of weeks and then west.  This route would add a couple hundred miles.
     I have been in contact via email with a fellow (Jimmy) that I met a couple of years ago in Guanajuato at the campground during the yearly festival.  He stayed by himself one night and then later came back for a day or two with his wife and some other family members.  He lives in Aguascalientes, and has invited me to  stop by his place on Saturday and visit for a while.
     The town of Morelos has its own bus line, consisting of seven buses.  Each driver seems to have his own idea of how much to charge for bus fare to or from Zacatecas.  It seems usually to be eleven pesos, but today I paid six and a half one way and thirteen for the return trip!
    Zacatecas was a very rich and prosperous silver mining town during Spanish colonial times.  They built the town where they found the silver and it is a mountainous area.  The streets are, therefore, not designed in a typical grid pattern.  You will often come to a place where the street forks and have a choice to go left or right.  Going left will take you downhill and keeping to the right may take you up.  Parallel streets are often at such different elevations that the cross-streets are not streets at all, but stairways.   Anyway, one result of the mixed-up street plan is that there are a lot of park that are shaped more or less like triangles.
   Today I pushed some buttons on my camera and I think I may have improved the picture quality.  But they might come out a lot bigger than I want them.  I will post these pictures and see what happens.  If they are too big, I will have to try and figure out how to make them smaller.
